After an eventful 12 days, inclusive of dramas, comedies, romance and even a jewelry heist (one might even say, it is an incident that is worthy of a storyline for an action-packed burglary film, not to mention one that leaves a hint of resonance of a James Bond picture), the festival has officially come to a close. As we bid au revoir to the magical moments of cinema and let them travel further inland as well as overseas to be enjoyed by the eyes of hundreds or even thousands of cinema lovers, we thought we’d revisit the festival, beginning to end, via our bountiful photo galleries.

However, before you submerge yourself into the wondrous world of shimmering lights, luscious desserts, glasses filled to the rim with sparkling champagne, elegant gowns and tuxedos with their unique personalities to match, as well as a red carpet befitting of a king and queen, here are a few noteworthy moments to recall from last night’s festivities in the city of Cannes.
