Aysha Mahmood graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2014 with a B.A. in journalism and political science. During her college years, she wrote for The Daily Campus and received the David Solomon Journalism Award. In addition to being a contributing writer to GALO Magazine, Aysha also freelances for The Middletown Press and is addicted to blogging on Tumblr. When she isn't writing, the Connecticut native can be found singing off pitch, watching reruns of ’90s shows, or eating an obsessive amount of chocolate chip cookie dough. Her parents, as always, serve as her inspiration.
